A:No religion's view of the universe is necessarily scientific truth, and Judaism (or Christianity) is not immune from this. The ancient Hebrews wrote what they thought to be true, but had no way of knowing how the universe was formed or what it is made of.

Thus, in Genesis chapter 1, we find the belief that the sun, moon and stars are younger than the earth and that they are mere lights in the firmament, between the earth and the waters above. Science tells us otherwise.

Why you need to develop scientific attitudes and values?

I arrived at an interest in science through an interest in philosophy. If you want to understand the universe, then you must learn science. Science is purely logical, and strives for the truth, so a scientific attitude is commendable in my opinion.

What is a scientific attitude and how would you follow it in your life?

A scientific attitude is that truth is found by the use of observation and logical reasoning. Consequently, you would not necessarily believe what you are told, unless you can confirm it yourself, and you would be skeptical about superstitious or mystical or pseudo-scientific or any other forms of unproven assertions.
