The Suns light only shines so far. Consider if you will a torch the closer to it you are the brighter it appears but its actually luminosity does not change. The same principle hold for the Sun. The closer to it you are the brighter it appears. Interstellar Space is enormous, all the those stars you see in the night sky are Suns of a kind, yet they are that far away that they cannot light up the night sky like our Sun does during the day.
This is because he explained the sun's role in the universe!

Heliocentrism is the correct theory that the sun is at the center of the Solar System, though not the universe as a whole or even our galaxy.
You can be scared of the dark, the sun(melting you?),and ice.
The Universe - 2007 Dark Future of the Sun 5-8 was released on: USA: 23 September 2010
The Universe appears to be dark because space (meaning nothing), contains no matter for the sun to shine on. Also, another reason is that the universe is so large that, if you were to even try to look at the edge of the universe from outer space, the light would not exist beyond a certain point (because of the measurement of lightyears, and the never ending radius of the universe that is expanding). Thus, the universe is black.
Even though sunspots are fiery white hot, they are somewhat cooler than the part of the Sun around them. When you inspect the Sun through a very dark filter (The only safe way) the Sun itself does not look very bright, and sunspots appear dark in comparison.
It doesn't get dark in Denmark during the summer month because of the Scandinavian weather the days are usually longer.
God in heaven created the sun in the sky, and life, and the universe. The sun's light can beam down on us even though the sun is so far away, and on non-cloudy days we can feel warmth from the sun. Just as God can stay in heaven and send Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to Earth. Jesus and the Holy Spirit are from God just as the light and warmth we see in the daytime are from the sun even though the sun is still the sky.
The sun is not the only star... There are many many others in the universe, they shine so bright that you can see them in the night sky even though they are very far away...
Sun is a Star of Fire in the universe.
