Many plants will reach for the light, all you need to do is turn the on quarter turn every other day or so to even out the growth.
The actual property of the plant that causes it is called phototropism. Plant hormones on the "dark" side of the plant called auxins react to the lack of light and cause the cells on that side to elongate which basically bends/pushes the plant towards the light.
Some plant tissues will actually bend towards the dark as do the tendrils on some vines. This turns the tendrils toward the dark objects (rock crevices, tree bark, the soil) so they can attach to it and support the vine.
Phloem
They're often the flowers actually... not the leaves.
cold or overwatering
By a sunny window or anywhere you wish if you have a plant light, I have made a shelf with cactus and bonsia with a long LED plant like that looks awesome, but if you do use a window make sure the plant doesn't touch the glass or it might freeze it where it touches.

Gardeners and botanists study leaves. A gardener looks for yellow or brown leaves to see if the plant needs water or minerals. Botanists often study the leaves to identify the plant.
Canna is a monocotyledonous flowering plant
The plant will die as little to no photosynthesis will take place, thus no food and no energy will be produced. The scene of photosynthesis is mostly on the leaves.
To treat a sick house plant . cut off all the white stuff to make new growth. If this does not work your plant is dead.
mint
Eventually the plant will lean towards the light. In a dimly lit room, the plant is likely to become weak and lanky, with a possible yellowing of the leaves.
