Why might the ABS brake light be staying on in a 1995 Chevy half-ton C1500?

I would love to see the answer to this one too. I have checked out my 1992 C1500 as far as I can and haven't been able to find out the answer. If your light stays on constantly, you could probably have the code read at a brake shop and it should give you a good clue as to what's wrong. Often it's a wheel speed sensor or it can be a bad connection or a bad actuator or brake module. My light turns on when I hit 35 mph. I've checked the speed sensor, and run the diags but it just points to a low voltage condition at one of the computer leads. Don't know if that means an INPUT to the computer or an OUTPUT. Good luck, I hope I can find out what's wrong with mine too. some times the sensors get dirty.remove wheels and clean with damp cloth.a code will be stored if light on dash is lit up.check for code first and go from there.very simple . GAGODC when my 1992 C-1500 brake light would come on at 35 mph I did some research and found that my brake light switch was bad. The brake light switch sends info to the cruise control and the computer if it shows applied brakes at speed it will not let the TCC lock up.
