Realistically a person would enlist to protect and serve their country regardless of their personal political beliefs, to protect and serve the people of the United States and to protect and serve the US Constitution. Never make the Army a last resort because at that point it is to late and you probably no longer qualify. Some benefits include Educational Assistance, Guaranteed Employment, Stable Income, Little to no cost medical and dental insurance coverage and paid time off. In the end all these benefits are afforded to each person who enlist it is that individuals personal responsibility to either use them or take advantage of them.
