There is no such thing as the Wiemar Republic. For the Weimar Republic, see the related questions.
The Treaty of Versailles forbid Germany from building submarines. Yet years before Hitler took power in Germany, the Wiemar Republic secretly had submarines built in Spain. Netherlands, and Finland. It seems surprising that in the Netherlands, this type of submarine production was not publicized and called to the attention of England and France.
There were many reasons for the unpopularity and weakness of the Wiemar Republic , they were as follows ;The Wiemar Republic was made to pay for the sins of the Old German EmpireIts supporters , the Catholics, The Socialists , etc or the November criminals, became easy targetsGermany lost the war and it underwent national humiliation and the Wiemar Republic war blamed for it .It was also weak because Germany lost many of its resources like iron & coal , it even lost a few territories to France, Denmark, etc and the Wiemar republic was held responsible for it.Germany underwent economic crisis and the Wiemar Republic was financially weak , politically in stable and this led to its weakness , unpopularity and lack of public support as Democracy was a new idea and it was difficult for the Germans to comprehend it.

The Wiemar Republic in Germany faced many problems. One was the economic effect of paying the allies war reparations. Another severe problem was the growth of non democratic extremist groups such as the Nazi's and the communists. The German people believed they were humiliated by the terms of the Treaty of Versailles and the democratic forces in Germany had no satisfactory answers to that,
"The official colors of the Wiemar Republic are red, white and black."
This question requires a subjective answer as many factors helped to bring Hitler to power in Germany. One major reason for Hitler's success was the failure of the Wiemar Republic to handle the problems facing Germany's economic and political problems. Also, it should be noted that a democratic type of government which the Wiemar Republic represented was not what Germans' past and contemporary were used to. It was new and formed by the pressure after the defeat in WW 1.
