∙ 11y agoFor an arrest there must be sufficent evidence or 'probable cause' that the suspect committed the crime. Many times police may have a very good idea who is guilty but must collect enough proof for an arrest warrent. This is why Simpson was arrested (on more than one occasion).
In the case of his arrest for murder, there was overwhelming evidence that Simpson killed two people. It was a no-brainer and should have resulted in a conviction. Simpson wasn't so lucky in the state of Nevada. Armed robbery and kidnapping are both very serious charges and it seems Nevada had a better jury pool from which to pick from. Let's just hope he will serve the absolute maximum, he is a danger to the general population.
