First of all, A powerglide and a TH 400 turbo are 2 different transmissions. And YES either 1 will bolt right to the big block engines.
as long as it is a chevy bolt pattern th400
There are several GM automatic transmissions that have the Chevy bolt pattern. Powerglide, TH200, TH2004R, TH350, TH375, TH400, TH700R4. These same transmissions also came with the BOP bolt pattern, so make sure you get one from a Chevy.
Sure, preferably a short tail TH 400 with the Chevy/Buick bolt pattern.
A powerglide is a 2 speed automatic transmission.
No.
same bolt pattern if the 4l60e was behind a v8 or 4.3and the th400 was from a chevy and not a (bpo or caddy )
Any automatic trans from Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac or Cadillac will bolt right up. A Chevy transmission will NOT bolt up without and adapter. If you change from a TH350 to a TH400 you will have to change your drive shaft yoke and the cross member. Unless you just have one lying around, or find and extremely good deal on one, there is just about no reason to put a TH400 behind a 301.
Yes.
you can do it and use only 4 of the bolts but they are not the same and you will not have much for strength doing it that way.
Any Chevy transmission will bolt to any Chevy engine.
Yes, as long as the transmission has the Chevy bolt pattern.
No, different bolt pattern.
