The school you have been attending can effectively suspend your license if you drop out before you turn 18. Georgia law (OCGA 40-5-22) says that once you have had 10 or more unexcused absences, the school can suspend your license for 1 year or until you turn 18. You can only get the suspension lifted before that year is up if you:
1. Turn 18
2. Show proof that you have received a high school diploma, GED or Certificate of High School Completion
3. Show proof of enrollment in college
4. Show proof that you are enrolled in another high school or GED program
--this proof has to be approved by the school you are now enrolled in and the school you left, each with a specific form from the Department of Driver Services
In some circumstances, you can qualify for a limited driving permit. This is generally done so that you can drive to and from work, if you have a job and your family needs the money you earn.
Yes, you can get your license in the state of Georgia if you are over the age of eightteen, because you are considered an adult at eightteen. Other circumstances can prevent you from getting one after the age of eightteen, such as DUI, drug chargers, driving without a license, etc.
Yes, they do. Me and my boyfriend is on a account together and his license got suspended an they wrote me letter telling me that I had a couple of days to reinstate them and show proof of it.
If you are a high school drop out and you do not have your GED, you cannot get your drivers license until you are eighteen. If you already have your license when you drop out, it will be revoked.
Absolutely. Teen-agers under the age of 18 in Georgia are required to present a Certificate of Attendance (DS-1) from his/her school's guidance counselor when they go to apply for their Georgia instruction permit or driver's license. If you have already graduated, you will need present your high school diploma, GED, special diploma, or equivalent. (Source: Georgia Dept of Driver Services, 2010 Driver's Manual, p. 58). "If you want to be cool, you gotta stay in school."
yes you will be an legal adult but is not recommended to drop out of school
Drop out of High School.
You will just have to contact your insurance company and ask them. Some companies will drop your policy while others will not.
I assume you are talking about a drivers license? Dropout, that doesn't effect your driving abilities.
no you cant not until you are 18
Georgia has compulsory school ages from 6 to 16. So the parents cannot allow them to drop out of school
why?? do YOU want to drop out? STAY IN SCHOOL!! and i think soo
yes getting your license or permit has nothing to do with being in school.
