No buddy.
Everything pre-AU, fits pre-AU.
"Pre-AU offset"
Like, you can get your EL rims and put them on an XY if you want.
(The only problem people have is putting older rims on newer cars rub on brake calipers.)
You can change hubs over from an AU> which is illegal, I think..
But yeah, you can pick up replicas with the pre AU offset.
The stock tires are usually 35 psi
A 1997 Mercury Sable came stock with size p205/65r15 tires. Taller or shorter tires will cause the speedometer to read incorrectly.

from 89 through 1996 the rims have the same bolt circle and from 1997-2003 and 2004-2011. However, if the tires are larger than stock on the 4x4 you will probly have clearance issues on the 2x4.
I believe if you open the drivers door , on the end of the door is an information sticker that will show the original size tires that were on the vehicle from the factory

Open the drivers door and on the latch pillar you will see an information sticker . One of the things it shows is the original size of tires on the vehicle from the factory
Depends. All tires have a size on them, so the questions of the year of vehicle is irrelevant. If the size of the 1997 Explorer is the same size of the 1982 Chevy Van, then they are both interchangeable. The problems if any will be in the rims. But if the rims are different then the tires would be different too.
