this is a very intelligent question and as i am a unintelligent person, i cant answer that but i can put some of my meaningless logics in it--->
Its not just the flat things that revolve... its everything that revolves around the sun due to its magnetic power.. now.. the question is that if world was flat, would it be having heavy mass or weight too and all the gravitational forces and atmosphere and how would they had work there??
if it was not having any gravitational forces of its own and wouldn't be heavy(a planet), it would have been a moon of some other planet or a mere very huge stone in the solar system whose fate was to ultimately get collapse in some other asteriods or gets pulled in by the gravitational forces of other planets/objects and collapse in them!!
if it was having all the graviational and magnetic forces.. i am imagening how they would have worked.. let me think for some time here...okokok i cant think that.. or i did(sorry for creating a lot of confusion here but i am writing whats coming to my mind).. it would have revolved around the sun but surely not in elliptical orbit as it is revolving now!!

The just do. Live with it, and stop asking so many questions. Just be happy you have some! :) That's a dumb answer. If people used that answer for every question, the world would still be flat, the world would still revolve around the sun, and there would be no silly bandz. The better answer comes from KGB: "Silly Bandz are made of silicone & die molded which is what allows them to bounce back into fun shapes such as animals & letters after being worn as bracelets." Which was, in fact, the answer I was looking for, not a cop-out answer like "they just do," or "to make little girls/boys ask questions." Whoever answered the second question...makes no sense. The world DOES revolve around the sun, dimwit.
