Well, not everyone is perfect, but you must show your parents that you are responsible and do little things that make them see that you are ready for a relationship such as having a girlfriend. Then after they say yes( which they probably will) go out and ask that girl out and make her happy no matter what anybody says about you or her or both of you together. Remember it is your relationship and if you are emberassed of her or your relationship, then maybe your parents were right in not letting you have a girlfriend in the first place.
