Check, or have someone check, the battery connections both at the battery and the other ends to make sure they are tightly connected. Check that that you or the other drivers are not leaving something on in your Envoy. Just prior to turning off the engine, turn everything off including the radio, interior lights, etc.
Once you're sure you have a good battery in it...Have someplace do a free diagnostic check on the battery, starter, and charging system. Some parts stores will do it to. When the battery is good and fully charged is when it will be easiest to find what else is going on.
It would depend on the vehicle which you failed to mention. More info then repost.
the vehicle needa a new voltage regulater, this should have been checked before battery and alternator as its the cheapest part to replace
Determining When to Replace a Car BatteryI don't know the "official" answer, but will provide an answer as to how I've done it for over 50 years. I replace a vehicle battery when it will not HOLD a charge over 2-3 days without use of the vehicle, but only after I've checked out the charging and electrical system on my cars or trucks and found them to not be causing a significant "drain" on the battery.
From $85 to $250 depending on the vehicle.
You need to charge your battery or get a jump. Replace the battery or have it checked because it is dead.
If you have some vehicle repair knowledge you can replace them yourself. If not, it is best to have a mechanic look at it.
Take it in to a mechanic....the battery is hard. It will take like 3 hours, like disassembling a rubiks cube.
take your vehicle to a licensed mechanic
Disconnect it. let it cool and replace it. If you battery is boiling that is an indication the alternator is overcharging the battery. Have the alternator checked at any auto parts store.
When the battery does not start your car as it normally has, or the battery runs down overnight. If you suspect it is bad then have it checked at an auto parts store.
Have the timing checked and adjusted by a mechanic. you may have to replace the lifter valves if they are getting stuck
The battery symbol light indicates that, for whatever reason, the electrical system in the vehicle is not being supplied with the proper voltage. This is often caused by a malfunctioning battery or alternator. Since the battery is the easiest to remove and replace and is most prone to failure it is recommended that you have the battery checked. This can be done, usually for free, at any auto-parts store.
