You were fired for a positive drug test do you have to write that on your unemployment application?

the answer is yes. People all the time right now are getting fired for testing positive on proscription drugs. I have a paper that my professor just gave out that talks about all of this stuff.this was on Herion. Last sept he was fired for testing positive on illegal drugs. since then, he's gone to rehab for 70 days and is trying to get his life back together. He's been looking for work ever since he came back with no luck.

Does NC law say that he cannot collect in his situation?

I could go on for days on this subject and would love to discuss, but right now I want to know if my husband can apply for unemployment, he's been out of work since may 2011, has deterioration of the spine and can not work, and I want him to apply for unemployment now and want to know if he will still get it? He is in excrutiating pain, and has just been dropped from his pain Doctor Who has had him on Roxies and kolodapens, We need help I don't think he will survive this nor I, please help us.

If you were terminated "for cause", and claim otherwise, it's fraud. Unemployment insurance is intended as a safety net for people who loose their job through no fault of their own.
