check starter
There is no problem...the problem was the alternator. You have fixed the problem.
The first step is to know the problem.
Could be. But it might be an alternator problem instead of a batery problem. You need a good alternator to keep the bttery recharged. I wouldn't run out and buy a battery without getting the alternator checked.
If the alternator is good and the battery does not charge, then the battery may be bad. There could be problem with the electronics. You will need to take it to a place where they sell batteries. They have equipment to check out the battery and the wiring.
It could be the battery, or it could be the alternator! I had this problem with 2 vehicles I had! It will keep trying to turn over, but, if the alternator is bad, it will just keep draining the juice from your battery.Have a mechanic check how many amps the alternator is putting out. If weak it needs to be replaced. Loren J.
you could pull off your positive battery cable if it stalls out then you alternator is the problem
If your car doesnt start, it could be the battery. But if the car starts and you unplug the negative cable and the car turns off, its the alternator.
An auto battery could be leaking for a couple of reasons. The alternator could be overcharging the battery causing the leakage. Or the battery itself could have a short or other internal problem causing it to leak when charging.
If the battery and alternator are both good, Test them to be sure, then you need to take a multimeter and verify that the power from the alternator is actually reaching the battery. It could be a simple wiring problem
There are a few things that could cause this problem. It could be the wiring to the alternator, the alternator solenoid, or the wiring.?æ
it could mean that you have a loose battery cable that needs to be tightened
Had the same problem. Bought a re-conditioned alternator, turned out it was bad. Usually if battery draining, it's alternator or battery or both.
