Switch your fuel pump relay with the relay for the auto shutdown...if it runs fine then replace that relay

Most likely answer is that water has got into the electrical parts of the starter and causing a short. From my experience this vehicle isn't very good in deep water, the alternator is on the bottom of the engine and is poorly protected from a lot of water thus causing it to short out.

If the truck only runs hot when it's not moving, then its most likely an issue with the fan clutch. Especially if the air conditioning is performing poorly as well. Start with the fan clutch.
