Your 2005 impala is not quite over heating but the temp gauge rises close to the hot mark Then you constantly smell antifreeze what could be wrong Please help?

You smell antifreeze because you are overheating. Check your water level in your cooling system to make sure it is full. You may need to replace your thermostat or rdiator cap to fix the over heating problem.You may also have to check your radiator fan to make sure it is working properly.
