white smoke coming out of the exhaust 99 times out of 100 is coolant leaking into your engine and being burned. if this is the case, a head gasket is blown or something in your motor or head is cracked. oil burns a bluish color with a distinct smell.
Dont filled oil so that no smoke
valve seal
Moisture in the exhaust, or a cold running engine.
Coolant getting into the fuel or oil.
White smoke from the exhaust is normally an indication of coolant entering the combustion chamber. Could be a blown head gasket or cracked head.
It could be coolant getting into the exhaust system which could mean that one or more of your car's gaskets are worn out and need repairs
I know the white smoke would be caused by coolant, which would be leaking into the combustion chamber.
the smoke that comes out of a exhaust pipe is supposed to be white
White smoke especially when starting tends to indicate that water is finding its way into the the exhaust system, where it is boiling and exiting the exhaust as steam. The possible cause could be water getting into the cylinders (perhaps from a damaged gasket).
Sounds like you have a coolant leak.
Heavy white smoke is usually caused when the engine burns transmission fluid, such as when the modulator valve is defective, causing transmission fluid to be sucked into the intake system. A stuck closed thermostat could cause the engine to overheat. If the engine overheated badly and repeatedly, a cylinder head could crack and allow coolant to enter the combustion camber. This condition would cause white smoke to blow out the exhaust.
I feel these are unrelated but you can investigate a leak in the hoses leading to the heater core as they maybe leaking onto the exhaust pipe, that would produce white smoke, but not from within the tailpipe exhaust. Water and oil leaks will produce white smoke the smell will help you determine which it is.
