It sounds like you may have a dead battery. Have you tried getting a jump?
In my case I have a 1999 SL1 and the clicking sounds where the relays for the electric door locks. I removed them and I have not have the battery drained. I have not replaced them yet.
sounds like a flat battery try jump starting it with set of jump leads you could have a bad connection between the battery and the starter or a broken engine earth strap i would try jump starting it first do
If your battery is good but the starter motor just clicks instead of turning over it is bad, OR it turns over weakly or turns over and starts clicking then it is bad. If it turns over strongly and sounds OK then it is OK.
sounds like the battery is dead, take the battery to a shop that can load test it
