If you feel like he is going to break-up with you, talk to him. If he does not want to talk of listen try asking one if his friends or talk to his mother and fill her in, it always helps.
Talk, if he is serious, dump the loser, obviously he does not know what he is missing. If he wants to walk out on a family then you probably do not want to have anything to do with him. It will be hard, but you have to be strong with your convictions.
