The most common problem when a car's heater fan doesn't shut off when the car is shut off is that the resistor on the blower motor has gone bad. The fuse that powers the resistor should also be checked.
Well First of all is buick grand national not pontiac. and you would have a hell of a time to get a mopar engine to go a buick. especially a big block you would have to make several modifications i know for a fact the heater box will be in the way you would have to remove the heater box so you wont have a heater. even a small block would be ALOT of work you would have to modify you moter mounts and tranny cross member and fire wall and possibly floor pans. its not worth it.
Could be a defective gas cap (bad sealing gasket?)
sounds like your water pump ain't pumping, don't drive it till it is!. could be as simple as a new fan bewlt or might even need a pump
how am i supposed to no? I cant even drive yet xD
First off, the block heater is an option, yours might not even have one. My 2002 Chevy had a block heater, and the chord was right next to the battery.
I found a diagram of a 1992 Grand am fuel pump, although it may not be the same being an older model, the 2004 is probably even harder. I would suggest taking it to a mechanic if you have never done any major work on a car. http://autorepair.about.com/cs/generalinfo/l/bl719lib.htm Here is the 00-05 pump itself. http://www.am-autoparts.com/AM/Fuel-Sending-Unit/Pontiac/Sunfire/-/AM-12537051/?utm_medium=shoppingengine&utm_source=ShopzillaSF
There could be several reasons why a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am service engine light soon has come on. The engine may need a tune up, the timing belt may need changed, or even a bad fuel pump.
The heat sink (sensor) has gone bad and is telling the fan to keep going. Even without the key on the fan will still go. I had the same problem on my 2004 Grand Prix. A new fan motor and module next to the fan motor fixed the problem. The failure was caused by rain water entering the fan motor compartment. A rubber seal under the plastic cover beneath the passenger side wiper was to blame.
If it even has one, follow the cord back to the block. The cord will lead you right to it.
2004 Chevy express van, heater has no high speed, at one time the blower stayed on even when the ignoton was turned off therefor draining the battery,
I own a 1997 Potiac Grand Am Se. Mine is located next to the drivers seat. Open the drivers door and its on the side of the dash. Open the little panel...and there is even a little fuse puller included! Hope this helps ya. My dash lights burnt out for the heater controls....and by the way those are $6 a piece at the dealer. They are a special kind not 194's.
you are low on coolent, the heater core is the highest point and therefore full of air and not fluid
