Lauren Keyana "Keke" Palmer (born August 26, 1993) is an American actress and singer who rose to fame for her performance in the 2006 film Akeelah and the Bee.[2] She currently stars as the titular character in the Nickelodeon sitcom True Jackson, VP.

Keke palmer is pursuing a career in singing. She participated in the 2003 American Juniors and American Idol spin-off, but the show was canceled before her appearance. Palmer signed a record deal with Atlantic Records. Her debut single, "All My Girlz," is featured on the Akeelah and the Bee soundtrack. On November 18, 2006, she performed at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California for VH1's Save the Music Battle of the High School Marching Bands, marking her first ever stadium performance in front of thousands of people. In addition, as part of her contract with Disney, Palmer sang the songs "It's My Turn Now" and "Jumpin'" featured in the DCOM Jump In!, in which she stars as Mary, love interest to Corbin Bleu. She recently finished a song "Keep it Movin'." Palmer sings the debut single "Come On Come On" from the upcoming Hello Kitty album Hello World.
She recently appeared in the video for Ludacris' and Mary J. Blige's' "Runaway Love" as Erica. In 2006, Palmer recorded a song called “Tonight” for the 2006–2007 production Night at the Museum. Palmer's song is featured as the opening song on the end credits. The theme song for True Jackson, VP is also performed by her. In 2007, Palmer re-recorded the song "True to Your Heart" (from Disney's Mulan) for the DisneyMania 5 CD, and in 2008 re-recorded the song Reflection, (also from Mulan) for the DisneyMania 6 CD.
Her debut album So Uncool was released on September 18, 2007, on Atlantic Records. The song "Bottoms Up" from this album was featured on the soundtrack of the 2008 dance movie Make It Happen.
She recently signed a record deal with Interscope Records and is working on a new album that will be completed in Spring 2010.[3] Her first single off the album titled "Super Jerkin" was recently sent to radio. She also held a contest to see who can come up with the single's choreography. The winners of the contest got to dance with Palmer in a YouTube video.[4] She recently launched a clip of her new song "Biology" on to her myspace, but it was shortly removed and replaced by a song called "Facebook Stalker".she alaways had a thing for music.
Keke Palmer is set to launch a Wal-Mart fashion line inspired by her Nickelodeon show, True Jackson VP. The fashion line will consist of jumpers, modern dresses, knit tops, T-shirts, leggings, and more for under $14.[5]
