02 BMW 325i won't start The battery light came on while I was driving home on Friday The next morning it wouldn't start We jump started but when I turned the car off and back on nothing happened?
check your battery connections
What has happened to the electricity if the battery cables were not disconnected before the alternator was replaced?
No, a pcm, bcm, or ecm will not reset itself while driving. On the otherhand it will do checks when you start the car to make sure everything is operating properly. If something is not it will light up the infamous check engine light.(pcm) There is nothing for it to reset when you replace the battery. It does not loose it's memory when the battery is disconnected anymore than a computer in your home looses…
No, the battery has nothing whatsoever to do with the belt other than the belt is driving the alternator which recharges the battery. The alternator is working hard to recharge a weak battery. If the belt is squealing then the belt is either worn out or it is loose. If it is loose it is because the tensioner is defective and not holding the proper tension.
What could be wrong if the battery is good and the alternator is good but the battery keeps being drained?
Something is causing a drain on the battery even with the vehicle off and nothing turned on. A good mechanic can do a drain test on the battery to see what may be draining the charge. A dead cell in the battery itself will also cause the battery to go dead. Disconnect the negative battery cable overnight and if the battery is dead the next morning it has a dead cell and must be replaced…
2002 Dodge Caravan just recently wouldn't start in the morning. This only happens in the morning and not every morning. don't know what the prblem is. Could it be the battery please help.?
Will it crank? In other words, can you hear it trying to start? If yes, then it isn't the battery. If it simply does nothing, then yeah it could be the battery. Put any updates under '02 dodge caravan, and I'll check it later, and try to help you out more. Also include what, if any, effect the weather/tempurature has on the problem. This will help me narrow down possible causes.
