First, let's just hope that you DO NOT mean that it will go only in drive and no other gear. If it reads just drive then don't worry, it is just the indicator dial. They break very easy. And will not effect everyday driving.

What I think happened is that something with your gears went wrong so that is what is messing all of your rpms up. But, for the other problem I do not know a thing about why it would do that. What would cause a 10 amp fuse for the speedometer tach and odometer to blow everytime the ignition is turned on in my 1997 Olds Silhouette extended Minivan?

It is possible, POSSIBLE, that your odometer drive motor had broken some teeth on the gears and is jammed, therefore causing the motor to want to keep spinning, but it cannot because the broken gears have jammed it - this could possibly cause the fuse to blow. How many miles are on it?

When you change your bike gears the chain does something?

Vague question, isn't clear if this is about a problem, or if this is about how a chain works. Basically what the chain does is to transfer force from the pedals to the rear(drive) wheel, thereby making the bicycle move. If you have external gears, then a gear change means that the gear has to move from one sprocket to another. If you have internal gears then the chain stays, and cogwheel inside the hub moves.
