So I guess asking from the pulpit next Sunday is not an option? How about sending her a card or slipping one to her at some point? Don't think you are any different from every other 15 year old guy. They are all nervous the first few times. She might say no, but so what? Everyone gets told no some of the time, that shouldn't stop you from asking. You say you have known her for 5 years. Talked to her or been around her in a group? That means she is aware of you also. It's not like you are coming in cold with no previous contact. You both go to the same church so possibly you have friends in common? Go by her house before or after church if possible. That means you have to go through the parents, but you will have to do that at some point anyway. Get your courage up, hold your head up, and go for it. You will never know until you try.
