1959 was the first year for Lincoln Memorial pennies, and it's worth about 2 cents due to copper content.
Please look at the date again. 1958 was the last year for Wheat Penny's.
It really depends upon the condition but wheat pennies are not worth much. Some are rarer than others, such as a 1959s penny or something of that nature. If they are BU (brilliant un-circulated) they are certainly worth more money. Those wheat pennies are not all that valuable, unless you have an entire collection completed and the coins are in very good condition.http://americanconnj.comThe last date for a wheat penny is 1958 and no 1959s were ever struck.
Please check your coin again. Wheat cents were made from 1909 to 1958. All cents dated 1959 to 2008 are Lincoln Memorial cents. If it is a 1978 Lincoln Memorial cent, it's only worth face value in circulated condition.
Nothing, none were made. Your coin is plated. It would be "cents-less" to make a penny out of silver because it would be worth more than a dollar.
In good uncirculated condition it would be worth abot 5 cents and if really good condition about 10 cents.

A 1959 gold Lincoln penny is not worth much. Coin collectors will pay between 45 and 65 cents for this penny depending on condition.
A wheat penny is any Lincoln cent that was made between 1909 and 1958. The back of a wheat penny says, "One Cent", and it has a picture of two ears of wheat on either side of these words. Earlier (Indian head) cents and any cents dated 1959 or later aren't wheat cents.

It's worth about 2 cents.
The wheat design was discontinued in 1958. If your coin has the Lincoln Memorial on its back, it's a circulation issue worth face value only. There is at least one possible 1959 wheat cent known to exist but its authenticity is still the subject of a lot of debate among coin experts. If your coin it has a wheat back but a 1959 date, I'd have it examined by a dealer but my guess is you will find out it is either an altered coin or a fantasy piece made outside of the Mint.
The Lincoln Memorial design was introduced at the start of 1959 so there were no official wheat cents struck that year. There is one known 1959-D wheat cent but it's surrounded b much controversy as to whether it's a true mint error or a forgery. See Related Links below for more articles.
