the motor mounts should be the same, as the 318 is the same block as the 340, the only thing I can think of is the oil pan was different on the 340.
you take the mounts of and put new ones on dah
definitely not a good idea as they stop vibrations into the cabin and they also stop the metal to metal rubbing which can cause weak points in the body. the vibrations can create undue wear on the internal parts of the cabin such as dashes, glove boxes, instrument clusters the list goes on.
If you rev your motor and the motor moves excessively one or both of your motor mounts is broken. Visual inspection is the best method for determining the condition of your mounts. Jack up the car and put it on jack stands. Get underneath and look at each of the mounts. The rubber should not be cracked or missing pieces. Push on the motor with your hand and make sure the rubber is not broken and that both sides ( motor and the part of the chasis where it mounts ) are firmly attached.
Lcd mounts are quite cheap at wallmart. Their prices are always going down. As of now, Theese mounts only cost 30$...but if you want to check yourself here's a link http://www.walmart.com/
Did you use the 318 oil pan????? If not that's why!!!!!The blocks the same width&height.....I have to disagree. I'm doing a conversion on my 67 gt dart that had a 225 slant in it. I'm putting a 360 in it and found that the main caps are different on a 360 than a 318. You have to find a pass. car 360 pan to make it work. Also make sure the motor mounts have not failed allowing the engine to drop lower.
if the amperage is the same and it has the same mounts.
You may have broken motor mounts.
There are four mounts. Center left, right, front, and rear.
No. The wiring was changed for 2007 and the radio dimensions and mounts are different as well.
replace the mounts
Most likely the gearbox mounts are failing and need replacing. This can cause this problem even when the engine mounts are fine.
Check the motor mounts, frame and steering components to see what is damaged or bent. See if the idler arm is installed properly and is not oriented wrong, and DON'T drive the vehicle until you solve the problem.
I recently built a engine test stand for a 402ci Chevy engine. The distance between the motor mounts is 16 1/2 inches center to center. This should be true for small block and big block engines.
tranny mounts are going bad
4 engine mounts. front right, front center, torch strut that supports the radiador, & transmission mount
there are 3 transmission mounts on the car. Drivers side front, drivers side rear, and a center mount as well
bat motor mounts cause the shaking a knock sensor realizing its shaking is the light get new mounts
