If your 1971 coin is a uncirculated example it may be worth about $5.00 because the 1971 issue coins were not included in the Uncirculated Mint sets sold from the Mint in that year. None of the Eisenhower dollars regardless of date or mintmark struck for general circulation have any silver and most are not worth more than face value. Only proof and uncirculated collectors coins sold from the Mint have premiums.
The US has never made a one dollar coin with JFK on it. If it is a dollar coin with the date of 1971 the portrait is of Eisenhower. Post new question.
A dollar is worth 100 cents.
kennedy 1/2 dollar
$1 to $4500 depending upon the mint mark and the condition of the coin.
Please check your coin again. LBJ was never on a US $1 coin. All $1 coins minted from 1971 to 1978 carry a picture of President Eisenhower.

A 1971, 1 cent coin is worth 1 cent up to couple dollars in mint state condition. A 1971, 1 dollar coin is worth between one dollar, and a couple dollars. I have no idea what coin you are asking about because you didn't clarify.

If you mean 1 dollar coin, 1971 is not very old and I don't think it is silver, so probably only worth one dollar, unless it is a really perfect uncirculated coin and then maybe only 2 dollars.
