1980 c60 Chevy truck and power steering fluid keeps blowing out of the vented cap on the resevior. Does anyone know what would cause this?

I had a fellow in our auto parts store say the same thing, his blew out the oil when the engine was shut off, He replaced the pump and that seems to have solved it.
