Once that piece is off, Im not sure how to take the airbag out, as I only replaced my steering wheel. But, to get this piece off, there are two bolts on the backside of the steering wheel. Pop the hole covers off with a flathead screwdriver and remove bolts. Disconnect the wiring harnessess and the center piece is out. I hope this helps or, at the very least, gives you a place to start.
