Just finished replacing fuel pump on my bronco 2 . Mine was a mechanical pump located on engine block behind and below power steering pump. Pain to get off without flex rachet extention or socket swival. Mine had NO fuel pump on it.
If it is the same as the ( 1996 ) Ford Bronco : ( Relay # 2 is the fuel pump relay )
In the tank
Clogged fuel filter, defective fuel pump are 2 possibilities.
If it is the same as the ( 1996 ) Ford Bronco : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment ( Relay # 2 is the fuel pump relay )

maybe the fuel pump is not supplying the fuel as it should check the fuel filter and the pump pressure or the air filter is clogged
It depends on your experience with auto repair. The fuel pump itself is about a 2 and the pump inside the tank is about a 3.

Actually there are 2- one in the fuel tank with the gauge and pick up and another on the frame rail drivers side apx. front edge of drivers door.
if this is a 2.6L V6 engine setup then there are two fuel pumps. one pump is located internaly inside the fuel tank with sender unit,it is a low pressure pump. the other one is located under the car mounted on the frame, it is a high press pump (40 psi) for the injectors
There is a fuel pump relay underneath the fuse box in the pasenger side of the engine compartment. This relay gets stuck and does not open when the ignition key is turned off or after the engine is started.
