check your ground wire in the back
1999 Audi a6 quattro, How I fix the problem when the turn signals don't blink, but hazard lights work well?
When both of the turn signals (indicators) of a car blink simultaneously, it is usually because the hazard lights are turned on.
one of the lights is not working
I replace my flasher fuse. Now they light up but won't blink.
The problem could be in you flasher located on the fuse block . or the multifunction switch located on the steering column.
Bad ground
The emergency flashers and the signal lights are separate systems. Each has it's own fuse, switch and flasher relay. If your turn signals light up but don't blink I would blame the signal flasher relay.
An open ground or a short to ground when the signal is on. Usually a bad bulb.
My research to date finds that the turn signals and hazard signals are controlled by a common relay. That relay is behind the hazard relay switch. My 2002 Audi A6 has the same symptoms you describe, and I will be removing the hazard switch to get at the relay for replacement. Good luck.
i believe you have an element in one of your bulbs on the right side blown. some cars' lighting system works on a closed loop system so be sure to pull each bulb and check it, it maybe just be a bad connection so the problem may be fixed when pulling the bulb out and putting it back in, i have seen that happen before. i used to work in an auto parts and this was sometimes a fix to your same problem.
Answer Usually when the flasher blinks rapidly it's about finished. Try replacing the signal light flasher and see what happens. If you still don't have Brake Lights start looking for a short.
On a 1999 GEO Tracker, a bad fuse can cause the headlights and dash lights to blink. A bad voltage regulator or alternator can also cause lights to blink and flicker.
