Try this: But a PRESTONE radiator flush kit,2 gallons of antifreeze, container of radiator flush, and a new thermostat and gasket. The directions come with the flush kit. You will need access to a garden hose also. After backflushing the cooling system you will install the new thermostat and then add the new coolant. This should take care of the problem. When you add coolant make sure that you leave the cap off the radiator for about 20 minutes while the motor idles to insure all the air trapped in the system is bled out.
If your Camaro is equiped with Air Conditioning...there is a good chance you have a build-up of leaves, dry grass, small wrappers between the radiatior and the a/c condenser. Remove the top fan/radiator shroud and tilt the radiator back a bit, you might see a build-up of debris. if so, clean it out, that might be your cooling problem. This should be done every couple of years.
