if it is a manual transmission no gear oil!! regular 10w-40 motor oil any brand it does not matter
Either the clutch is stuck in the engaged position, its stuck in gear or the brakes are seizing up.
tranmission on way out reverse usally goes first got one for 100
I had this problem before on a Honda civic and an acura integra, you might be experiencing some shifting problems, check to see if the throttle position valve is working right, If you have a bad TPS , you will not be able to put the car in gear. Knowing what vehicle you have would help us help you. If you have a Ford the brake light fuse may be blown.

The clutch is master and or slave cylinder are bad
It does not matter, the motor will continue to turn either way until stopped by the window regulator.
I Believe that you add it in the steering wheel. all you need to do is pull of the steering wheel pour the oil in then it flows down into the gear stick. If this doesnt work then you have wasted some of your life reading a comment that wont help you!
The first cause of the jump out from one to other gear is the loose shifter fork, which connects the shifting linkage and gears of the transmission. The second cause is loose shifting linkage itself, which connects the gear shifting knob and shifting fork. The shifting linkage and shifting fork become loose due to the rapid changing of gears from one gear to other at high speed of vehicle. The third cause is the misalignment of shifting linkage to the shifting fork.
if u have a manual transmission ur clutch is going out n u need to change it, if u have a automatic ur transmission is going bad and needs to be replaced
