Anyone can tell me that what is of the ignition timing of the 22R engine, carberator ?
Haynes book states; Zero for 22R, and 5 degrees for 22RE.

I have a 1987 Toyota P/U long bet with a 22R engine, 5 speed trans (CARB ENG.) The factory emissions label under the hood said 8 degrees before top dead center with vacuum hoses removed from vacuum advance/ at curb idle. Note.. make sure the vacuum hoses are not re-installed in reverse order.

Sorry for saying 8 degrees before TDC. I went to my truck and checked the timing. It is 0 degrees before TDC, hoses disconnected, at hot idle. air conditioner turned off.
