car cut off at intersection then restarted and drove 1 mile and loss power, was able to park it and it has not started since. will turn over but not start, im thinking it's the coils.
I have the same problem. Checked coils with a digital multimeter. Readings between coil outputs measured 5.5K ohms which is indicative of the coils being good. I replaced Ignition Control Module (DIS - Direct Coils). There is only 2 other parts concerned with no spark issue: Crankshaft Sensor and the ECM (Electronic Control Module).
You did not teach it the trick very good.
First check for fire at any of the sparkplugs and if you have spark then check your fuel pressure and if its not within specs then replace the pump.
A little over 17 gallons.
Simple it will turn over but not start.
Do you have your parking brake on?
Two common reasons why an engine will crank over, but not start: There is no spark. There is no gasoline.
Is it getting fuel? Does it have compression?
Yes it is important. You can loose gas mileage and do damage to the engine over time.
The fuse box is under the hood on the passengers side. There is a black covering over it...just unscrew the lid.
have you tried replacing the cap and rotor?
Does it turn over? yes Does it have fuel? yes Does it have spark?yes Does it have compression? Is timing set correctly? ( bad timing chain?)
