Once you rule out some kind of ignition problems,; spark plugs and wires, ignition timing, distrib. cap & rotor, the cause may be low fuel pressure from a failing pump or clogged filter. Listen to the pump in the gas tank. If its been getting louder lately, have the pressure tested.
Answer
i would also check the oil for radiator fluid or at least keep an eye on it cause a loss of power could also be a blown head gasket
Also check fuel psi regulator remove vacuum line check for fuel leak should be no fuel replace if leaking. FPR controls psi going to injectors low psi low power also make sure you have no vacuum leaks FPR uses vacume to adjust fuel psi.
Acceleration is the rate of change of velocityaka how fast the velocity changes
check all the Fuses and fuse links (Altnator to Fuse box to battery)
fuel filter could be clogged or the fuel pump is going out on it.
One equation is Force/acceleration=mass
Probably an alternator.
check your idle controle moter. it is probably crudded up or not wotking.
whats the first step on repairing my 1993 Toyota truck 22re with a high idling problem thanks Brian
Acceleration=force divided by mass. The above is Newtons second law. Acceleration is also the change in velocity over the change in time, so it can also be stated as a=(final velocity - initial velocity)/(elapsed time)
Adjust your carb, otherwise, it's a problem with gas getting to the carb while accelerating.
