I would check ECM (Electronic Control Module) Fuse, then pull codes. Codes are easy to pull, all you need is a paperclip. Look for the ALDL (Asmb. Line Data Link) usually under the dash or on the left hand kick panel. It's a rectangular plug set up as a 2 x 8 or 2 x 10. Open the paperclip and jump from A to C (A is either top right or lower left, C is the third one in that row) with the key on and watch the check engine light. The codes are displayed as flashes, i.e. 12 is shown as the one first, a pause then two flashes. Each code is repeated three times. 12 is always shown, it means no distributor signal. Any parts store should look up any others for you. This all assumes you've checked the loom for loose connections and such.
P0205 means that the PCM detected a fault in the injector 5 or the wiring to the injector. Could be a bad injector number 5. Maybe the wires to the injectors or the PCM is faulty.
The fuel injectors will be located on a metal rail along the intake manifold. It could be a TBI (throttle body injection) The injector\injectors will be at the throttle body intake area. If this car still has a carburetor then it wont have injectors. Hope this helps you.
you could add gas treatment liquid to your gas tank or you could buy the fuel injector cleaner tool and run the system with fuel injector cleaner which is alot faster. other then tht you could take each fuel injector out and spray carb clener through the fuel injector until you see nice spread out spray coming out.
Constant ground signal from the ECM, or injector could be faulty and stuck open.
If it is just one injector, it is a bad injector or a problem in the wiring harness or connector for that injector. If it is all of the injectors, it could be a fuse, the entire injector harness, a broken loose or unplugged connector on the injector harness, or the fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator.
The 91 Caprice is throttle body injected and has 2 fuel injectors mounted above a Rochester throttle body. The easiest way to check for an injector that is not working correctly is to remove the air cleaner assembly, start the car and visually inspect the base of the injectors for a smooth consistent spray pattern. If the pattern is absent or intermittent on both injectors it may indicate a problem elsewhere, the ECM or a maybe a wiring issue or sensor. If it is a single injector that is acting up it could be the injector or a wiring problem to that injector which could be tested with a multimeter.
the injectors could be dirty buy fuel injector cleaner or the machanic could take them out and clean them
The Vortec Engines with the Spyder, or octopus type fuel injectors had issues with the clip on the fuel injector harness breaking. thus, causing it to come loose which would cause random misfires. also causes could be low compression, bad plugs and wires, dirty injectors, cattilytic converters.
I suppose if you had a leaky injector it could.
Some vehicles have single, throttle body injectors, others have multi-port injection, that uses an injector for each port. If it's an injector problem, the injector could be partially blocked or gummed up. If that's the case, try a little injector cleaner. If that doesn't fix it you may need to have your injectors professionally cleaned. If it's not an injector problem, it could be valve or sparkplug problems. How long since you've change the plugs? You could run a compression test to find out if it's a bad valve.
possible problems are: The fuse is blown, or the injector is bad, or the wiring to the injector is bad, or the computer is bad
There could be different reasons the security light is coming on in your Chevy Trailblazer. The fuse could have blown or there could be a wiring short.
