Okay.. well im not a mechanic.. but I think that you will need to take it to one.. I am thinking that somewhere back in the dash you could have a loose harness... or possible a bad ground wire that connects to your instrument clusters...I have herd about this problem before.. I have a Fifth Avenue.. its an 87.. and when I got the car, there was alot of things that did not work for some reason. I took the car apart and half of the harnesses were disconnected.. the electrical things in these cars just fall apart sometimes..

It is on the air cleaner. If the sticker is still intact it will say "electronic spark control", or "electronic fuel control" on it. It will have a vacuum line plugged in to it, and a couple of wire harnesses.
The dash panel is screwed on from below and under the upper overhang. Up and out over the steering wheel. then you can see the gauges and the screws that hold them. Unscrew the gauge you want and replace the bulb. This all takes about 20 minutes. The 5th ave has very dim dash lights. I have mine on full and it is still not quite enough. The idiot lights are bright and the ampmeter gauge is working on this car, the needle will show when charging/discharging.
probbly your charging system is going and you want to get it checked out
If turning the key in your 1984 Chrysler Fifth Avenue only activates the AC, it likely indicates an issue with the ignition system or electrical connections. The ignition switch may be faulty, preventing the engine from starting while still supplying power to accessories like the AC. Additionally, there could be a problem with the battery, starter, or related wiring. It's advisable to have a mechanic diagnose the issue for a proper fix.
