You burnt the forward gears out in your transmission. Take it to Meineke Transmissions and have it serviced or replaced. Either way, it's gonna cost you some bucks. You can get a rebuilt, look online. You could get one from a junkyard, but there's no guarantees on them that I know of?
Seek professional help as your reverse gear is defective.
I had a 1990 535I mine did that, took offf from a stop light and it moved about 5 ft. then the trans program indicator came on. It drove in Reverse just fine, made some phone calls and $1800 later I had a rebuilt tranny. Hope that helps
It means the reverse clutch pack has gone out in your transmission and needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
One possibility is brake(s) locking up.
Tranny is going out
Mis adjusted shift linkage, internal failure
It might be a problem with your transmission because not all mx6's stall when you put it in drive or reverse.
That's a sign that your transmission is going bad. Get it service.
I have same problem.
In most cases you can but it mostly depends on what motor you have in your 1992. I cant say for sure but i think there d-series motors, and if in fact that's the case in your car then as long as the 1990 or 1993 transmissions were on a d-series motor then it should be fine
Lock up torque converter prolem.
Yes it is,I'm pretty sure its like a 300 dollar fine
