I recently rewired my sound system and the same thing happened. The reason is because you have a negative and positive touching each other. When you turn the key on it turns on that accessory with the short (ie radio, cigarette lighter) that excludes interior lights head lamps or anything that works with out the key turned. If I were you I would get under the dash and look at all the wires, sounds like someone was installing something and got careless. Also it could be as simple as a positive wire touching the metal frame if your car..
Short in the wiring or the circuit is overloaded and pulling too much current. Can also be a loose connection causing a spark.
no it will not...
I need to change the fuse on the horn and hazzard lights on 1990 toyota pickup, what amp should I use?
You may have a hot wire grounding out somewhere
There is probably a short somewhere. I would suggest you check all the wires check fro fraying, any exposure. if all is good there are you using the right fuse? Put A higher rated fuse to see if it still blows
If your friend keeps blowing you off, I think that you should confront him/her about his/her behaviour in a cool, calm way. My advice would be to talk to your friend calmly and ask why they blew you off. They might have a very good explanation!

your car wont start!
most likely the fuse is blown
I would use 10w30 and for high mileage 10w40 would work best
The wire may be shorted to the frame.
Bad coil? Bad distributor cap? Bad distributor rotor?
