1991 Toyota truck with 130000 miles 2 weeks ago the rear turn signals went out you replaced the fuse and it worked now 2 weeks later they went out again you replaced fuse again 12 hours later out- why?

Check the wiring harness at the frame at the rear of the vehickle. It sounds like a direct short which is caused by the wire rubing on the frame.

I just had the same problem and found that my rear turn light bulb went out and the turn signals no longer worked. Check any of the turning bulbs. You may have replaced the hazerd light flasher. There are two flashers, the turn signal one is near the hazerd one under the dash.

You say the fuses are fine, i have just had the same problem. is your radio/headunit also not working??? And have you checked the fuses under the bonnet aswell as in the drivers footwell. I just replaced some of my fuses and it worked fine. Make sure your inginttion is off whilst removing/replacing fuses.(unless testing to see if it worked) Hope this helped!
