If you have an offset reduction drive starter, you can access the starter solenoid spool under the end cover. Remove starter from vehicle, remove this cover, slide out spool, and expose the electrical contacts. The input (batt cable) contact will wear faster than output (motor lead) contact due to arcing. Scrape arced area and bend tab up slightly. Be careful. Install spool and check continuity with a volt/ohm meter. If good, install cover and reinstall starter.
There may be replacement kits with contacts, spool, etc. I didn't check because this worked fine for me.
Check fuel Check spark
Yes.
why would you want to turn it over? you can use jacks, a light and a creeper to look at the bottom, less expensive too!

Two door truck, yes. Four door truck, no.
sounds like a wiper switch contact is sticking i have the same problem on a old dodge truck
What do you mean it wont do anything... will the engine turn over... is the battery good... if the battery good and the engine wont turn over as if its not receiving power to the starter then it might be a bad starter or bad starter solenoid.
