i have a 1993 Ford Explorer push button 4x4 and when i push the button it kicks in but every 20 yards or so it makes a loud binding sound. what could that be?
The 1995 Ford Explorer blower motor relay switch can be found in the fuse box. The blower motor relay switch will be in the third column, second from the top.
Any tansfercase motor is to switch from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive. It is located behide the transfer case and it has 6-7 wire plug. Only automatic push button 4 wheel drive trucks have the transfer case motor.
see.
It is the kill switch
your shift motor on transfer case is probaly no good and needs to be changed or is also called encoder motor
Switch, circuit, shift motor
Bad motor? bad switch?
A power window relay switch relays the power from the car's battery, to the switch itself, and then to the window motor. When pressing the button inside of the car it allows the power to go from the relay switch to the motor and roll the window up or down.
No. The buttons operate the shift motor on the transfer case. The only way would be to swap in a manual transfer case.
Fords are well known for glitches in the window switches, although it could also be the motor.
define the problem is door switch and not window motor.
it took me about an hour on my 87 bronco2
