Disconnect negative battery cable for about 5 minutes. The light will just come back on if you have not repaired the problem that set the light in the first place.
Blown fuse?
Bring to ashop that has an ABS scanner to determine the problem
i had the same problem, and it had to do with one of the wires that go from the battery to the fuse box, just move the wires a bit, and the lights should come back on
it will be either the o2 sensor or the idle air control module. i had the same problem in 2 different cieras and each one had this problem.
if it smells like antifreeze inside the cockpit then your problem is the heatercore, since you can't see it.
I'd call a locksmith. They will be able to tell you the exact problem and how to fix it.
Check the coolant temp sensor, or just replace it if you have the money to burn.
There are a number of reasons why a 95 Cutlass would start then shut right off. The problem could be the fuel line going bad, the battery terminals could be dirty, or loose, or wires could be bad.
Most likely because of a problem with the ABS system, which could be expensive to fix. It could also be caused by low brake fluid.
If your battery is good and you hear nothing when you turn over the key, you should check the starter and or solenoid to begin with. The solenoid should make a "click click" noise when you turn the key. Most parts stores will test it for free. If your battery and starter are good, then look to the ignition switch.Hope this helps.Answer 2You might also want to check for loose wiring or a loose battery cable, Answer 3I own a 1985 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme. I had the same problem- it drove me nuts. it wasnt the battery, starter ingnition switch, nothin. It turned out to be the ignition module. Its located under the distributer cap. we swapped it out with another one we found, and it started right up. im not sure why these things go bad.
The P1406 code on a 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera 3.1 is the code for the EGR pintle position circuit. I know this because it was my question initially and we bought a code reader to check the problem. It is a factory specific code, so the answer is quite specific. Good luck !
