sounds like pump is going, install new pump
? Thermostat ?, do you have good heat, may make the computer ( ecm ) assume your on cold start up.
More than likely the a/c compressor is bad. The compressor clutch could be shorted also.
if it keeps blowing fuses, look for a bare wire going into the fuse panel or a bad ground wire. There is a direct current all the time to keep blowing the fuse.
it may be the starter going out doing it . it will kill the alternator if it keeps going . I know i had it happen to my 96 olds replaced the alt still didnt start and the starter fixed it
Nov.13/09 my 89 olgs. Just had the same problem, fuel pump is going needs replacing keeps blowing main fuse, try changing fuse under hood, if blows again change pump
A fuse that keeps blowing is an indication of a malfunctioning ignition. The ignition may be the culprit or the wiring leading to the ignition may be the problem.

Obviously, if any fuse keeps blowing there is a serious fault in that circuit.Take it somewhere they can fix it.
Compressor may be locked up.
You need to find the cause of the short.
