check the cranckshaft sensor and alarm system
Removing the upper intake manifold will gain access to the "spider". It is not necessary to replace the complete "spider" if there is only one bad injector. Each injector and the pressure regulator are replaceable.
To change the injectors on a 6.0 you must first 1. Remove the valve covers 2. Remove the high pressure oil rail. Be careful not to drop any bolts, not to break off the injector connectors, they break easily. 3. Remove the injector clips on the outside of the head, inboard towards the turbo. 4. unbolt the injector 5. Use an injector puller so that you dont damage the injector, or injector bore.
How do you change a fuel injector on a 1988 Toyota Camry
Could be an injector spraying at below the pressure that it should. Or a head gasket. Check your radiator for milky fluid, if not you can determine the bad injector by loosening the nut at the injector line/injector until the sound of the engine changes. The one that does the least change to sound/rpms is the bad one. You can have it tested at your local dealership.
Where is the fuel injector located?
can i change 1 fuel injector on 4.3 6 cylinder silverado 2003.
Depends on your level of mechanical expertise. You must remove the entire fuel rail to change one injector. It's not hard for an experienced mechanic but a novice might have a difficult time. Please note this is the delivery system for engine fuel (gasoline) under pressure. Caution to insure there are no leaks after the injector is replaced is required.
Fuel pumps can produce a pressure drop and rise as variables of voltage and temperature change a dampener absorbs this rise and fall of pressure and keeps the pressure closer to a constant flow for better injector operation.
procedure to RR fuel injector c12 cat
There should be a fuel pressure "test" port behind the throttle body. Test the fuel pressure at the test port using a fuel pressure gauge. If the engine starts using starting fluid and doesn't start without, and the fuel pressure at the test port is normal... you have something else going on. It COULD be the injector, but don't assume until you've tested other stuff.
Its the oil sending unit - get a new one they are only like $10 and easy to change.
