Clogged fuel filter is causing too much strain on the pump. replace the filter. (here's the catch - there's 3 fuel filters from the tank down the line to the engine - at least on my 87 anyways.) Hope this helps.
A seal is going bad, trans will need a overhaul.
Yes it could.
Which engine is it? Which trans is it? Is this your trans or my trans? What were exact symptoms?? DNO.
Could be a valve problem in trans, or could be a sesnor malfunction in the trans. Have it looked at by a professional, it will save you a headache.
It is not recommended to pull a trailer with automatic trans in overdrive, put in drive only. When attempting to pull without locking out overdrive, trans will continue to shift from drive to 0verdrive causing a massive heat buildup. Heat is not good for automatic transmissions, and will eventually cause failure, causing your wallet a very bad day!
The trans mission IS probably going out. This is a well know defect in the 2002 Tahoe. Google it.
sounds like a vacuum leak going to the modulator on the trans. check for what souns like a air leak on the small tubes going to the trans
You have to fix the cause of the code that put the trans computer in limp in. That could involve a new trans. Check all fuses and ground wire going to trans. I got lucky with my 98 and just had a bad gauge fuse (speedometer stopped working). Which also could have been a bad speed sensor (output) but the dash light which says what gear I was in was out to so. Crans
It means that the alternator is shot or the battery is shot, you need to get the charging system checked out.
the speed sensor, trans. sensor , or the speedometer cable
If it is causing the trans to slip, it could.
A dirty or stoped up trans. filter. Trans. cooler stoped up. Run low on fluid. Are could just be worn out. The trans. pump could be bad. Time for a rebuild and if a good transmission man does it he'll tell you what happened to it.
