Yes it could.
It is according to when you feel the vibration. If you have a vibration at higher speeds, your driveshaft could be out of balance. At lower speeds, you may actually have a cracked engine mount. Take it to a shop before it tears something up.
Ptobably a motor or trans mount. Have them checked out.
It's a transmission mount.
Hey Yogesh==Have the motor and trans mounts checked. GoodluckJoe It might also be a signal that the brake pads are worn out.
bad tourche convertor broken fly wheel, bad gear syncronizer, motor mounts trans mount, clutch plate damaged , the barmufaschnizier mounting module last but not least its a pontiac!!!!!!
I know from expirience that the manual trans has two. One is called the right trans mount, near the motor, and the other is the rear trans mount located directly under the trans. You can use a pry bar the lift up on the trans and see if the mount is broken. the rear mount is about fifty bucks, and is easy to replace, its mounted with only four or five bolts.
Is the emergency brake on? If not then there are a few possibilities. A CV joint could be busted but this would cause noise and vibration when put in gear. The transmission could be low on fluid because of a leak or the trans could be bad. Also check the shift linkage at the trans, it could have come loose.
Should be under tailshaft on trans.
There is only one transmission mount and it is on the very back of the trans.
There is a Technical Service Bulletin out for this issue. The fix is to loosen the trans mount on the driver's side and reposition it.
Remove nut holding the trans mount to the crossmember jack trans up off of the crossmember then hand wrench bolts out of trans and reverse process.
Bad trans mount, bad u-joints, loose mounting bolts.
