Sounds like you need to check FUEL FILTER first / REPLACE. If filter is okay for sure and easy to blow through, then Check the fuel pump pressure. Should read 9 to 13 LBS. No higher are lower are you will have starting and running problems. If fuel pressure is up to specs. Then check the spark plug wires by spraying water on and around them while the engine is running with a small spray bottle, If engines changes in anyway while spraying water then more then likely the plug wires are bad. REPLACE wires.
You may also have a bad spark plug that's breaking down under a load.
